Have you found yourself struggling to navigate sports-related transitions or dealing with anxiety or depression

I'm glad you've finally made the decision to reach out!! You're here because you've reached that place where you've realized you need help. Perhaps you're going through the transition from athlete to "normal life" and you don't know what that looks like for you. You may be struggling to get through practices or you may be having complete meltdowns at the thought of competitions or games.

Whatever it is that brought you here, you're likely noticing that it's starting to impact other areas of your life.

  • The unrealistic expectations from others may have caused you to distance yourself from your community

  • There's been a decrease in motivation to "push through" the tough days

  • Irritation with friends, family or others has created strained relationships that you're unsure how to fix

No worries, Jenae can help!!

Therapy with a Sports Social Worker will help you do a few things:

  • Attack your challenges from a holistic perspective (analyzing how the different areas of your life work together to create and magnify the issues you are dealing with)

  • Help you learn to advocate for yourself amongst family, coaches/teammates, or professional personnel

  • Learn and implement various resources/coping skills you can use to calm anxiety, depressive symptoms and more

Here's how we'll partner together:

  1. I'll work with you to gather a comprehensive understanding of your current struggles as well as your athletic & personal history.

  2. Together we'll identify the best treatments, interventions and protocols to use to meet your unique needs and circumstances.

  3. From there... we get to work!

My approach to therapy is rooted in genuine relationship with my clients. With this, client's are able to see that I truly want the best for them and are more likely to show up fully and DO THE WORK.

It's time to feel CONFIDENT again!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are sessions like?

A: Your sessions are guided by you, the client. We will use various techniques to attack the presenting issues including talk therapy and EMDR. I will create a safe space for you to be heard, and to navigate your concerns confidentially and without judgement.

Q: How long will I need to be in therapy?

A: That depends on the presenting issue or concern. There is no one size fits all approach to therapy but if you're willing to do the work, the goal is to get you back to feeling yourself sooner than later.

Q: How do I know if therapy will work for me?

A: We'll we know the past approaches haven't worked, right? The honest truth is there is NO guarantee a therapist can make that you will be better. What I can say is that the therapeutic approaches I use are evidence-based (meaning they've been tried and tested as effective through research). Are you ready for something different?

Q: You don't take my insurance, is there any benefit to not using insurance?

A: There is more autonomy over your care without insurance. Insurance requires a mental health diagnosis, can request your record at any time and can put limitations on how often or how long your sessions are. Paying out of pocket allows you to receive care, on your terms.

Q: How do I move forward?

A: It's simple, click the link below to schedule a brief 15min consultation and we'll go from there.
