  • Identify the root of the mental blocks or anxiety you are experiencing and re-work your trigger responses

Q: What are EMDR sessions like?

A: You use EMDR techniques as an athlete every day. You'll use either a form of tapping or looking with your eyes to help activate your brain to process and heal the body. The technique is comfortable, but the work can be challenging. As an athlete, you do challenging work everyday. You got this. 

Q: How long will I need to be in therapy?

A: That depends on the presenting issue or concern. There is no one size fits all approach to therapy but if you're willing to do the work, the goal is to get you back to feeling yourself sooner than later. 

Q: How do I know if sports performance therapy will work for me? 

A: We'll we know the past approaches haven't worked, right? The honest truth is there is NO guarantee a therapist can make that you will be better. What I can say is that the therapeutic approaches I use are evidence-based (meaning they've been tried and tested as effective through research). Are you ready for something different?

Q: You don't take my insurance, is there any benefit to not using insurance?

A: There is more autonomy over your care without insurance. Insurance requires a mental health diagnosis, can request your record at any time and can put limitations on how often or how long your sessions are. Paying out of pocket allows you to receive care, on your terms.
